Maundy Thursday, April 17 at 7 pm
What?
This service begins with the reading of the account of Jesus washing the disciples' feet (Luke 22) and then Bishop Ron will give you the opportunity to have your feet washed either by him or you are invited to do it together as a family. Then we celebrate the Lord's Supper together (Communion). After Communion, The Stripping of the Altar takes place where everything up in the Altar area and on the Altar itself is removed, even the chairs and all the banners! The lights are all turned off and we leave in silence as we reflect on what it would be like to have the presence of God leave the earth.
Good Friday, April 18 at Noon
What?
The Sanctuary is dark and quiet (only the natural light from outside). We will read Scriptures and also say "The Reproaches". The Reproaches is a litany traditionally said on Good Friday, as people “venerate” or honor, or meditate on, the Cross. The litany is a dialogue between a God sorrowing over the sins and destructiveness of the people, and a people asking God for mercy. It lasts just under an hour. We will leave this service in silence.
Easter Vigil, April 19 at 7-9 pm
What?
The Easter Vigil has four parts
The Service of Light - we will go outside and light the Paschal Candle with flint/stone
Service of Lessons - we read foretelling of the Messiah Scriptures from Genesis to Zephaniah
Blessing of the Font/Acclamations - we gather around and bless the baptism font and water
Baptism Vow Renewal - we join together and re-affirm the vows we made at our baptism
Once the Vigil is over (around 8:30 pm) we begin to bring everything out from the darkness into the light (we set up the Altar again and put everything back in it's place)! Jesus is not dead, but alive!

“WHOLE CHURCH, WHOLE”
This is the Mission Statement of St. Andrew’s (based on Jesus’ Mission in Luke 4:18). We want to see His Church experience wholeness. Many of us have been really feeling the impact of this trying time, and our hearts and prayers are with you. Healing is such an important part of St. Andrew’s and it has never been more needed (in most of our generations) than now. Your church family is here for you and those who you care about and so please let us know how we can be there for you. We are all being stretched in ways that are mostly unfamiliar and yet it’s right to celebrate the absolute Goodness of God in the work of the cross and resurrection. We bless you into wholeness and bless you to flourish in your relationships and bless you to experience the Goodness of God.
